Breakdown of fees
I aim to provide a transparent and straightforward fee structure so that you know what to
expect before beginning therapy or assessment.
Payment is requested at the time of booking and can be made securely online via bank card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
Psychological Therapy
50 minute session: €150
The cost of written psychological reports or letters will be discussed, if this service is required.
Specialist Psychological Assessments & Formulation
These assessments are individually designed around the referral question and may
include detailed clinical interviews, psychological questionnaires, personality or schema
assessment, psychometric measures, and written psychological formulation. The
process begins with a 90-minute initial consultation (€300) to understand your concerns
and determine what type of assessment would be most helpful.
Following this appointment, I will outline a recommended assessment plan and confirm the total cost
before you decide whether to proceed. Comprehensive assessments typically range
from approximately €1,200–€1,800, depending on the complexity of the referral
question, assessment measures required, number of appointments, and whether a
comprehensive written report is included.
If you proceed with a comprehensive assessment, the €300 initial consultation fee
is credited towards the total assessment cost.
Autism & ADHD Assessments
The assessment process begins with an initial consultation to explore your experiences,
review relevant screening information, discuss your reasons for seeking an assessment,
and consider the most appropriate assessment pathway.
If you decide to proceed with a comprehensive assessment, the €300consultation fee
is credited towards the total assessment cost.
· 90-minute Initial Consultation – ADHD, Autism or AuDHD: €300
· Comprehensive Adult Autism Assessment: €1,800 total (€1,500 remaining
after the initial consultation)
· Comprehensive Adult ADHD Assessment: €1,800 total (€1,500 remaining
after the initial consultation)
· Comprehensive Combined Autism & ADHD (AuDHD) Assessment: €2,500
total (€2,200 remaining after the initial consultation)
Included in the comprehensive assessment fee:
· Administration, scoring and interpretation of relevant screening measures
· A detailed clinical and developmental assessment
· Standardised assessment measures, such as the ADOS-2, ADI-R and/or DIVA-5,
where appropriate
· A dedicated feedback session
· A comprehensive written psychological report
· Individualised recommendations and, where appropriate, diagnostic conclusions
Health Insurance
Some private health insurance policies provide partial reimbursement for psychological
therapy or assessment. Cover varies considerably between insurers and individual
policies, so I recommend checking directly with your insurer before booking.
You may wish to ask:
· Whether your policy covers clinical psychology services
· Whether a GP or consultant referral is required
· How much you can claim
· Whether psychological or neurodevelopmental assessments are included
You will automatically receive a payment receipt that can be submitted to your insurer
where applicable.
Tax Relief
Psychological therapy and assessment may qualify for tax relief as health expenses,
subject to Revenue’s eligibility criteria. Revenue currently includes certain treatment
from psychologists or psychotherapists among potentially qualifying health expenses
and allows eligible expenses to be claimed through myAccount. You will receive a
receipt following payment that can be used when making an eligible claim. As individual
circumstances vary, please refer to current Revenue guidance or seek independent tax
advice if you are unsure whether an expense qualifies.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’
notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments,
will usually be charged at the full fee, except in exceptional circumstances. This policy
helps ensure that appointment times can be offered to other people waiting for support.
